Regional Champions fall short in National Quarter Final |
|
Wednesday the 4th of March saw the London and the South Regional Carnegie College Champions Tiffin boys take on Yorkshire Regional Finalists Calderdale Rugby League Academy.
Tiffin had previously progressed through the South London rounds and the Carnegie Champion Regional Finals with an unblemished record, confidently pushing a side a very physical Southgate College from North London 42-22 in last weeks London finals.

Champion Shools Competition |
|
The Champion Schools competition continues to grow in London and the South with 160 teams engaged over 8 county sports partnerships.
The games which took place recently at years 7 -11 and college were:

London Junior League kicks off! |
|
The new junior rugby league season is set to kick off this weekend with three new clubs and a new look sub-regional structure with North-South divisions.
The new clubs to the competition are Brixton Bulls, Farnborough Falcons, Eastern Rhinos and Hainault Bulldogs. Whilst Brixton Bulls may be a familiar name to many having competed in friendlies for the past few years, Hainault and Eastern Rhinos may be less so after setting up junior sections in 2008. |

Twickenham Stoop named as 4 Nations venue |
|
The venues for this autumn's Four Nations tournament have been announced with matches set to played in both England and France.
The first round of fixtures over the weekend of 24 and 25 October will see Harlequins RL’s Twickenham Stoop ground host a repeat of last year’s World Cup Final between Australia and New Zealand.

LondonRL.com website re-launched |
|
The London Rugby League website has been re-launched after consultation with club officials, players and RFL staff and the new site goes live today.
LondonRL.com is run and managed by RFL development staff in London and the South and provides information for current clubs within the region as well as providing detailed information for people looking to join the sport.
The site is a redesign of the previous LondonRL website which has been running since 2006 and incorporates London events, rugby league news and features, fixtures and results along with information for newcomers to the sport with specific sections on coaching, playing, refereeing and volunteering.
Visitors can also sign up to the London RL ezine which will launch later in March and keep readers up-to-date with London Rugby League news, features and events. There is also a chance to enter the ezine competitions to win match tickets, signed shirts and other prizes.
