Harlequins RL is proud to announce in conjunction with the RFL & Try Tag Rugby Ltd. that they will be hosting a Tag Rugby festival on the 31st of July.
The tournament will take place at Craneford Way, which is a short walk from the Harlequins RL home ground, the Twickenham Stoop.
The Harlequins RL Tag Rugby Festival will be played as 7 a side & in the mixed format, with 4 males & 3 females on the pitch.  Squads will be capped at 12.
The Festival will be conducted in pool stages with winning teams going through to the knock out stages. There will be a Harlequins RL corporate box on offer for the winning team.

Tag Rugby is a minimal contact team game in which each player wears shorts with velcro patches with two tags attached to them. The mode of play is similar to Rugby League or Touch Rugby with attacking players attempting to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" - pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier.
The field dimensions are 70m by 50m. The attacking team has six plays or tags to try to score a try or take the ball down field as close to the line as possible. Tries are worth one point and there are no conversions. In Mixed Tag Rugby, female tries are worth two points.
Kicking in general play is allowed but it must be below shoulder height of the referee and only on the first, 5th & last plays.
Team entry will be £80 per team with squads capped at 12. The entry fee also entitles every squad member to a free ticket for the Harlequins RL Vs Hull FC Engage Super League fixture straight afterwards (starting at 3pm), which is valued at £15 per ticket.
Teams are encouraged to register but you can still register as an individual. Individuals will be allocated to teams & registration is £10.
Tag Rugby shorts will be stocked at the venue on the day and retail for £12 a pair. They are also stocked online at www.trytagrugby.com
