It was a busy week of Rugby League in South London last week with 6 WCAM Croydon Primary Tag RL festivals taking place over 5 days. Over 350 primary school children in Croydon enjoyed playing Rugby League throughout the week. Local Minis team West Croydon Broncos are set to benefit from the excitement created at the festivals with kids being encouraged to join the club who play and train every Saturday at Archbishop Lanfranc High School in Croydon. Mark Roughsedge and Ben Cramant from South London Community Rugby League were thrilled with the how well the kids responded to the sport, Mark commented: “The response from the children and teachers was incredible and the sight of hundreds of youngsters enjoying their Rugby League was great to see”. Ben Cramant added: “On the back of the festivals we hope to see a lot of the kids at turning up at training with the Broncos”.
